Chandra & I just high-fived
... (in a house full of Canadians) when the US tied the game with 30 seconds left. Lucy's in a win-win situation. Lucky girl.

"I funny"
- If you make Lucy laugh, or if you're age 3 and under, or if you're a canine, Lucy will say, "Baby Jane funny" or "Chaco funny!" The other day she added herself to the list and said, with a proud smile and genuine heart, "I funny!" And she is.
- Lucy is like her Dad and loves airplanes; she points them out everytime she sees one. Then she'll say about 27 times in a row (with hand motions and lots of happy voice inflection), "where airplane go?!!"
- When Lucy wants to eat at Chick-fil-a, she says, "Mommy, eat cow."
- Lucy loves the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana song, "Butterfly Fly Away." She sings along, and when the next song comes on, she says, "uh-oh," then "Mommy sing." So now it's on repeat.
- About 2 weeks ago we were in a long line of cars at the top of a hill waiting at a red stoplight. The light changed to green, but we weren't moving, so she said, "Mommy, go!" (Of course I'm confident that she knows what the color green looks like and that it means go.)
- She can say her name (sounds like "Ucy") and can answer the question, "How old are you?" She says, "two," and then holds up 3-5 fingers.
- I put Lucy in bed for a nap and then was reading in the den. A few minutes later I heard her talking in the hall. I tried to warn her to not come back into the den and to go back to bed (before she got in trouble), but she only got louder and more persistent. I finally told her to come in. And in she walked. No shirt. No pants. No diaper. "Mommy, change diaper!"
- We used a non-family babysitter for the first time in Colorado. Lucy cried when we left, but we figured she would quit in 1 minute like she always does. When we got back and asked how she did, the sweet babysitter said she cried and hid under the bed. She finally wooed her out with a movie.
- Lucy loves wet wipes. She will empty my purse looking for them and then pull them out one by one. I even think she has a favorite brand ("nice 'n clean scented pocket-pak") because when she finds those she holds it up and laughs and puts it on her face and breathes in deep.
- Side Note: I know this is way too much writing, but this post is mostly for me :)
