Abby & Henry

Tummy

I'm going to say that was her first complete back-to-tummy roll, and then she slept on her tummy after that during her nap.

The Kenyan Way

Dickson says that in Kenya, when you have a girl, people have to fill your hands with money when she gets held and that a girl is a blessing.

Ouachita Challenge

Bryan's on a 60 mile bike race in Mt.Ida, AR with Nathan. We're on a walk with Isaac. Lucy is walking like a penguin because she already filled both pockets with "rocks for my cousins." While singing songs Paige asked if she knows Amazing Grace. "Yes. Doe a deer, a female deer. Rays a drop-uh-golden-sun." Rays = grace.

A Day of "All By Myself"s

Lucy ran to me this morning sooo excited saying "Come quick! I made my bed all by myself!"

And then Abby started sitting for a long time all by herself.

Bedtime & Monsters

(1) Lucy consistently plugs her ears for the whole reading of the "Monster at the End of this Book," even though we read it almost every night.

(2) Recent responses from Lucy after I tell her it's time for bed:
- "But I can't see the cow jumping over the moon."
- "But I'm talking to the monsters (aka stuffed animals lined up in front of the glass doors).
- "I need another song."

(3) Lucy helps me put Abby to bed, which is sweet because she:
- sings the song we made up, "Hey little Abby, I love you. You're the cutest girl in the whole wide world. Dark brown hair and clear blue eyes, a cute little smile, and a funny little laugh. I love you, yes me do, in the whole wide world." My favorite part is the "yes me do."
- tells Abby, "... and give you peace. Amen."

While we were in Whistler...

...The girls stayed with "Bamma and Pampaw" (Lucy's pronunciation).
